In our Advanced Laundroworks Features webinar hosted by Director of Product Operations, Sivan Salem, Oleg (Co-Founder of Laundroworks and Head of Self Serve) and Charlie (Customer Success Manager), showed how to use lesser-known tools across the LaundroPortal, readers, apps, and Cents integrations to drive repeat visits, smooth peaks, and protect margins.
“Most operators use only 60% of what Laundroworks can do,” Oleg shared. “The other 40% is where you start saving time, increasing spend, and keeping customers loyal.” So let's dive into the best ways to optimize your Laundroworks system.
Streamline registration automatically: With lost-card self-service at the kiosk, customers are prompted to register right at the start. One operator saw nearly 98% registration rates after enabling the pre-dispense registration prompt. This creates a seamless path to unlock promotions, boost retention, and effortlessly sync future marketing efforts with Cents.
Leverage time-based pricing strategies: Schedule discounted wash periods during slower hours or introduce offers to encourage weekday visits and balance store traffic. Combine these with controlled “Payment Disabled” windows (such as a set “Last Wash” cutoff) to ensure timely store closing, while still allowing managers the flexibility to override for special cases.
Run regular promotions: Offer free dry cycles using expiring bonus credits, such as “Free Dry Tuesdays”, launch unique, single-use codes (like WELCOME10), and use targeted promotions to attract new customers and drive growth, while avoiding dependency on discounts.
We also explored two essential Laundroworks apps: the Employee app for staff and the Customer app for guests.
WashLynx (employee app) replaces manager cards with individual logins and NFC tap. Attendants start WDF, customer-service, or maintenance cycles with required notes, giving you attribution and fewer anonymous “free” starts.
“WashLynx gives you visibility you’ve never had before,” Charlie said. “You can finally see who’s starting what, when, and why.”
LaundryCat (customer app) lets customers load funds at home, tap to start, check availability, and track cycles so finished loads don’t squat in machines. Because it’s a digital wallet, funds aren’t lost with a lost card.
“Twenty-five percent of customers already expect mobile payment options,” Charlie pointed out. “LaundryCat meets them where they are, on their phones, while keeping your store cashless and connected.”
The Advanced Laundroworks Features webinar was an insightful deep dive, unlocking the full potential of your existing system. From smarter registration and 2FA-secured promotions to expiring free-dry credits, time-based pricing, and team accountability through WashLynx, the session highlighted how small configuration changes can create big operational wins.
